ABOUT US

Being Dad was conceived over a few too many beers (like some of us) in the Paddington Hotel, Sydney Australia. At the time Sam and Troy were dads-to-be and lamented the fact that there was very little engaging information for dads. With a mountain of unread pregnancy books on their respective bedside tables they decided that dads were more likely to enjoy watching a DVD and listening to other new dads share their experiences about pregnancy, birth and parenthood.

The first Being Dad series was shot and produced in Australia for Australian dads and the success of DVD's and the tremendous feedback from Aussie dads inspired them develop Being Dad for the US and UK. Armed with no more international domination experience than a few games of Risk, they set out to help other dads around the world.

Troy "motor mouth" Jones

Best known for his ability to talk without breathing, Troy has run a successful production company since leaving school. Troy's company produced the Being Dad series and he has travelled the globe interviewing hundreds of new dads and experts. As a result we like to think of him as a ‘well renowned global guru in all things Being Dad', sounds impressive anyway. Troy has a beautiful daughter Matilda, who appears in the Being Dad series.

Troy is available for one way interviews and highly paid consulting roles for just about anything.

Sam "ideas man" Holt

Best known for coming up with a new idea every five minutes it's little wonder that Being Dad was infact his idea. Fortunately, Being Dad was one of Sam's better ideas and with the help of Troy and Tom it has grown way beyond all of their expectations. Sam looks after the day to day ‘business' at Being Dad and is constantly looking for excuses to be at the beach on or the golf course. Sam has a son, Hugo, who is too cute to be his.

Sam is available for business junkets, consulting on idea generation and golf course testing.

Tom "tickets" Hastwell

Lured out of the corporate world by Sam and Troy, Tom has been bitten by the business bug. Far too beautiful to hang out with the other boys he's been banished to South Australia where he runs his career development business. Troy and Sam are eagerly awaiting news that Toms wife is pregnant so that they can attach a camera crew to him for nine months and actually put him to work. Tom is currently practising for kids.
